The not-so complete archive of my writing

My writing has appeared in various magazines for some years now, and this section is for those few of you who are interested in my prior work but didn't have the foresight to buy the magazines at the time. As my full-time job is as Deputy Editor on Linux Format, all of the PDFs below are from that magazine, however I am in the process of retrieving various other pieces for other magazines - that will take more time!

Please note: all these PDFs remain the copyright of Future Publishing. You may not copy them or redistribute them, commercially or non-commercially, in electronic or printed form, without receiving authorisation from Future.

I've put these PDFs up for public edification: if I find they put too much strain on my bandwidth, they will be the first thing to go - please don't abuse this privilege. Furthermore, please do not link directly to these PDFs from your site; link to this page instead.

Finally, the PDFs are here courtesy of the editors of the respective magazines. In order to not affect back issue sales, the PDFs here are at least six months old. You will notice that the graphics are very heavily compressed in these PDFs, essentially rendering them useless for quality printing.

The PHP tutorial

Linux Format's PHP tutorial is its longest-running tutorial, having been running since issue 30. However, its content is largely superceded by my online book, Practical PHP Programming, so I suggest you look there - these are presented merely for historical interest.
