For the small sum of just £4000 you could buy a shiny new web server with a few hard disks, the latest CPUs, and a nice chunk of RAM to help accommodate the growing requirements of your web site. And in a few months more, another £4000 would get you a third server, then a fourth, and a fifth - your requirements will just keep getting higher as your sites become more popular.

But what if you do not want to keep spending money on larger and larger server rooms? In that case, you need to start focusing on making your scripts run with less resources - you need to read the next chapter!
